Our student to teacher ratio meets or exceeds MSDE, Maryland EXCELS and state licensing requirements.  The ratio depends on which class you are enrolled in, but all classes have at least one Degreed Lead Teacher and a Teacher Assistant. Class sizes vary depending on enrollment, but our unique small group rotations allow for high quality teacher-child interactions.

What qualifications do your teachers have?

All lead teachers meet state requirement and are encouraged to work towards their Associates or  Bachelor Degrees in Early Childhood Education.  All teachers and teacher assistants maintain our high level of quality through yearly continuing education training classes.  All teachers are also trained in CPR and First Aide.

Due to many flexible schedule choices and classes, please call the office for tuition rates.

Program accreditation standards represent the highest quality and reflect research-based best practices in early childhood education.

In 2015, Wee Lad & Lassie became one of the only Early Childhood Programs in Anne Arundel County to be awarded the highest rating (check level 5) under the Maryland EXCELS program based upon nationally recognized quality standards and best practices.

In 2005, we joined the very few independent preschool programs to be accredited by the Maryland Department of Education Early Childhood Accreditation Project. This means our management, staff and curricula meet the highest standards in Maryland.
